Duties: Represent clients in civil litigation, focusing on liability defense matters Handle all stages of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, depositions, and motions Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses Manage case files and ensure deadlines are met Advise clients on defense strategies and provide legal counsel throughout the litigation process Collaborate with colleagues to strategize and implement case tactics Participate in hearings, depositions, and trials as required Maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates and addressing client inquiries Requirements: Admission to the Virginia State Bar (required) 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation, with an emphasis on liability defense General litigation experience is a plus Strong written and oral communication skills Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented and well-organized Ability to work independently and as part of a team Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Admission to the Virginia State Bar (required) Skills: Experience in civil litigation, specifically in liability defense Strong research, writing, and analytical skills Excellent communication and advocacy skills Ability to manage and prioritize multiple legal matters Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills Proficiency with legal research tools and case management systems
