kislam@centralstate.edu Job Summary/Basic Function: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the project director, the position of post-doctoral researcher will consist of duties to include but are not limited to the following: mouse surgical techniques including TAC and MI, tissue culture techniques, qPCR, ChIP, immunoblot, FACs analysis, and ELISA. The ideal candidate should have basic molecular biological experience and experience working with rodents. The candidate must successfully work with project director, staff and undergraduate students to conduct research projects. Any and all other duties as assigned. Experience: Ability to maintain and safely operate laboratory equipment and tools. Ability to communicate well with students, staff and administration. Ability to carry out assigned tasks without supervision. Ability to work with a diverse group of students and faculty/staff. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of performing experiments under sterile condition. Ability to present research work in house as well as in national conference. Work Schedule: Minimum 40 hours/week. Monday to Friday with the possibility of evenings and weekends as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1-2 year experience in molecular biology lab. PhD in Biological Science. Posting Date:
