Job Summary/Basic Function
This is a full-time position funded by annual allocation by National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) through the Evans Allen Program with matching contributions from the State of Ohio. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform mouse surgical techniques including TAC and MI. Conduct tissue culture techniques, qPCR, ChIP, immunoblot, FACs analysis, and ELISA. Work with project director, staff, and undergraduate students to conduct research projects. Maintain and safely operate laboratory equipment and tools. Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration. Carry out assigned tasks without supervision. Demonstrate knowledge of performing experiments under sterile conditions. Present research work in-house as well as at national conferences. Any and all other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a molecular biology lab. PhD in Biological Science. Work Schedule:
Minimum 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday with the possibility of evenings and weekends as needed. Department Contact Email:
