A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate to join its expanding team in Austin, Texas. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney looking to advance in personal injury law, with a focus on handling a high-volume caseload. Duties
For Litigation Attorney : Manage all aspects of litigation, including depositions, mediations, court hearings, and trials. Prepare and file necessary legal documents, motions, and pleadings. Present court cases, representing clients and advocating for their interests. Work closely with senior attorneys to devise case strategies and assist with trial preparations. For Pre-Litigation Attorney : Handle pre-litigation tasks such as demands, negotiations, and case evaluations. Coordinate with clients to keep them informed about case developments and expectations. Lead settlement discussions and negotiate favorable resolutions before filing litigation. General Responsibilities : Manage a high caseload efficiently and promptly. Address client inquiries and concerns, providing prompt, professional support. Follow instructions from senior attorneys and ensure all assignments are completed accurately and on time. Requirements
Licensing : Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar. Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license. Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury litigation, with a strong background in case management. Familiarity with the entire litigation process, from pre-litigation to trial. Language Skills : Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required. Work Ethic & Professionalism : Proven ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload. Strong commitment to producing quality legal work promptly. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel professionally. Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications
Active membership with the Texas State Bar. Skills
Legal Research & Writing : Proficient in conducting legal research and drafting clear, concise legal documents. Ability to prepare persuasive motions and briefs for court submissions. Litigation & Negotiation : Experienced in handling depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Skilled in settlement negotiations and case evaluations. Client Relations & Communication : Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to maintain positive and professional relationships. Able to explain complex legal concepts in clear, straightforward terms for clients. Time Management & Organization : Highly organized and capable of managing a demanding caseload effectively. Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines and ensure smooth case progression.
