The PLM Architect will be responsible for owning and optimizing Astrolab’s full stack of engineering tools. This individual will lead the development, integration, and implementation roadmap for our tool stack, ensuring these systems meet operational demands and deliver high user satisfaction. The PLM Architect will be accountable for system up-time, data integrity, performance, and seamless integrations across tools. The primary focus will be on our TeamCenter PLM system, with additional oversight of critical applications including Siemens NX, Atlassian products, and NetSuite. What you'll do:
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Tool Ownership:
Manage Astrolab's suite of engineering tools, focusing on the TeamCenter PLM system, and drive tool stack integration and optimization to support engineering workflows and innovation
Roadmap and Development:
Design and execute a strategic roadmap for engineering tool improvements, encompassing system upgrades, process automation, and scalability to meet the company’s future needs
System Reliability and User Satisfaction:
Ensure high performance, data reliability, and up-time for all engineering tools, actively monitoring system health and collaborating with IT to resolve issues
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions
Automation : Coordinate with SRE, dev ops, and engineering teams to automate engineering tool workflows, testing and release of tool upgrades, and integration testing of interfaces between tools
Integration Management:
Oversee integrations with other critical systems, including Atlassian products, Siemens NX, and NetSuite, to create a seamless data and workflow environment
What you'll bring: Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (science, technology, mathematics or engineering)
3+ years of software implementation experience on a large scale/enterprise level project
3+ years of experience with SSO (SAML/OIDC) and SaaS integrations
Knowledge of Atlassian product integrations and enterprise apps (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Salesforce)
Familiarity with Zuken E3, Smartsheet, MES, and First Resonance Ion
Experience with TeamCenter PLM, Siemens NX, API integration, and security
Strong understanding of engineering workflows, data management, and tool architecture
Excellent communication and project management skills
