Venturi Astrolab, Inc. (Astrolab) is pioneering new ways to explore and operate on distant planetary bodies. We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity's presence in the solar system. The Manager of IT will oversee the organization's IT operations and security, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This role involves managing the company's technology infrastructure, including networks and data centers, and the IT services that support business operations and service delivery. The Manager of IT is responsible for ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of data and IT systems, as well as compliance with cybersecurity, regulatory, customer, and data privacy standards while ensuring an efficient and effective user experience.
What you'll do: IT Governance, Operations, and Security:
Manage and optimize internal IT infrastructure and operations Strategic Planning:
Determine long-term needs and pursue purchases and contracts to achieve business objectives Budget Management:
Oversee budgeting, strategic planning, and forecasting Team Leadership:
Support, train, coach, manage, and mentor IT personnel Project Management:
Track projects and company initiatives to successful conclusions and clearly communicate IT systems status, priorities, and blockers to company leadership Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures Security and Compliance:
Ensure IT security and compliance with customer requirements and industry standards Vendor Management:
Manage vendor relationships, including periodic auditing System Integration:
Oversee integrations with other critical systems to create a seamless data and workflow environment User support:
Ensure that Astrolab employees are able to efficiently and effectively perform their tasks, that IT requests are dispositioned and triaged in a timely manner, and that all systems are reliable and stable What you'll bring:
10+ years in IT or a related field, or a bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience Proven ability to manage IT functions across data, wireless communications, mobile tech, security, SaaS products, and hardware, along with network infrastructure rollouts Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite ITIL Certification is a plus Benefits and Perks
