Join the critical team responsible for ensuring Apple's product lines launch with the highest quality possible. Our team has created and maintains crucial tooling that allows Apple to scale product lines into the future, ensuring that quality is baked in for all of Apple's hardware and software products. In this position, you'll work extensively from Web UI to application layer to the database, and also become familiar with the hardware Apple develops down to the chip registers. We are looking for a full stack web engineer who is strong in web application development, loves to learn and dive deep into problems, and obsesses over great user and developer experiences.
Description
As a full stack web engineer, you will have responsibilities spanning all phases of web app design, development, and deployment. You will be working on internal facing web apps that process thousands of requests and hundreds of gigabytes of data an hour, as well as developing internal tools that facilitate the programming of firmware and testing of low-level drivers. You will apply best practices of software development, such as code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing. You will work closely with management and end-users to define requirements and tasks from ambiguous requests.
Minimum Qualifications
Expertise building server and client-side web applications with JavaScript / NodeJS, HTML, and CSS
Expertise with JavaScript single page apps using React & TypeScript
Experience consuming and developing RESTful APIs
General knowledge of networking protocols HTTP/1 & HTTP/2 (GET, POST), cookies and other HTTP headers
Experience working with database and blob storage technologies (PostgreSQL, S3, sqlite)

Experience programming with Python, C, Typescript
Experience with Confluence
Experience with testing frameworks like mocha
Experience with app containerization, tuning, optimization, deployment, and performance of workloads running in a cloud environment (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm)

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $214,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to advancing your career at Apple.
