Procurement Manager
to oversee all purchasing and supply chain activities in our manufacturing facility. This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position located at 3701 Holmes Road, Houston, TX 77051. Candidates should ensure that they are within a commutable distance to our facility before applying. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that materials, components, and services are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with production schedules and quality standards. This role will play a critical part in driving operational success, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting the company's goals for growth and sustainability. This role requires previous experience with compliance and government regulations. Safety is a key component to all of our positions, and we expect our leaders to uphold the highest safety standards and practices at all times. The Procurement Manager will interact with all levels of management and the supply chain. This role requires a professional level of both written and verbal communication. Warehouse and manufacturing experience is preferred for this position. This is a high-pressure position. The right candidate will excel in a results-driven, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Management Develop and implement procurement strategies to support production needs while reducing costs and improving quality. Identify, evaluate, and establish strong relationships with new and existing suppliers. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure the best value and ensure compliance with company standards. Inventory and Material Management Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components. Track and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of materials to mitigate supply chain risks. Operational Coordination Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to understand material requirements and specifications. Align procurement schedules with manufacturing timelines to optimize efficiency. Address and resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery delays, or material defects. Cost and Budget Management Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost analyses, and supplier performance. Compliance and Sustainability Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Promote sustainable procurement practices and support corporate environmental goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with procurement software is a plus. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Competencies: Leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices. Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively. Proven ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
