The position focuses on high-stakes biotechnology patent disputes, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge cases in a dynamic legal environment. Duties Represent clients in complex biotechnology patent litigation cases across various jurisdictions. Conduct detailed legal research, prepare briefs, and develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys. Communicate with clients to understand technical and legal issues, providing tailored legal advice. Work closely with expert witnesses, scientists, and technical advisors to build compelling arguments. Manage all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and appeals. Stay current on legal developments in biotechnology and intellectual property law. Requirements A minimum of two years of experience in patent litigation, with a focus on biotechnology or related fields. Proven ability to handle complex cases and collaborate effectively within a legal team. Exceptional analytical, research, and writing skills. Experience with federal court proceedings and knowledge of USPTO regulations. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Strong academic background, with demonstrated excellence in legal coursework. Certifications Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state. Registered or eligible to register with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is preferred. Skills Advanced technical understanding of biology, molecular biology, cellular biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-expert audiences. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external experts.
