What do we need?
We are looking for a Senior Events Coordinator will manage both internal and external events and sponsorships, overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of a wide range of activities designed to promote the firm's brand, engage clients, and showcase the firm's expertise in intellectual property law. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position can be a hybrid from the D.C. area or full-time remote from approved U.S. locations outside the D.C. area.
How will you make an impact?
The good faith base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $105,000 per year. The actual salary rate offered to candidates within that range will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, years of relevant experience, education, and the candidate's overall qualifications for the position as assessed by the Firm.

How will you make an impact?
- Leading firmwide event strategy, including budgeting, planning, tracking ROI, and post-event follow-up for all practice groups.
- Coordinating all event and sponsorship logistics, including contracts, venue selection, speaker selection, catering, audio-visual needs, and onsite management.
- Managing the firm's events repository, ensuring all logistics are properly documented and tracked.
- Developing a firmwide calendar and communication system to keep firm management and other stakeholders informed about upcoming events and conferences.
- Developing and managing the annual events and sponsorships budget, including individual seminar budgets, ensuring compliance with financial guidelines.
- Negotiating vendor contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Building and maintaining relationships with attorneys, vendors, and administrative teams to improve communication, event engagement, participation, and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to create promotional materials and strategies for each event.
- Identifying and pursuing new events, conferences, and sponsorships, aligned with the firm's business goals.
- Coordinating firm-hosted webinars and quarterly internal cross-selling series, from topic selection and speaker coordination to execution and follow-up.
- Generating reports on event progress, budgets, and outcomes for management.
- Conducting research on events and target audiences, leveraging CRM tools when applicable to optimize event strategy, visibility, and engagement.
- Working with attorneys and stakeholders to understand their business development needs and identify relevant speaking and sponsorship opportunities.
- Evaluating events post-completion, gathering feedback, and measuring ROI to identify areas for improvement.
- Assisting with other marketing and business development initiatives as needed.
- Domestic travel will be required approximately 6 - 8 times per year.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in event management, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a variety of events.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to meet deadlines, complete projects/assignments in a timely manner, and ask for the appropriate guidance as needed.
