Job Summary:
The EADS Group, Inc. which began operation in 1955 is actively seeking full-time Civil Engineering Technicians with various experience levels. These positions are located in our Somerset, PA office. Civil Engineering Technicians are needed to support our current clients and workload including municipal engineering, natural gas distribution systems and site development design. Under the direction of a Project Manager, Civil Engineering Technicians are responsible for the preparation of design deliverables, permit application packages, report preparation, data analysis and field investigations and inspections.
Here's what we'd like to see:
• Experienced candidates will have 5 years' experience in underground utility design or site development projects.
• Desired qualifications include experience with regulatory permitting, drawing preparation, project cost estimating, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other engineering software including Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Entry-level candidates will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
• The preferred candidate will have an Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Bachelor Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD or ESRI software is a plus.
• Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills desired.
