POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Sales Account Manager will be to obtain maximum profitable sales of OSI (UK) Ltd standard connector products throughout the North and South America markets with particular focus on Guyana, Suriname and Mexico. The role will manage key client accounts and relationships whilst ensuring the highest standards are maintained.

It is anticipated this role will entail 30% - 40% of time spent traveling - 1 to 1.5 weeks per month minimum. Primary regions are Canada, Guyana, Mexico, Surname, Trinidad and also Peru, Ecuador and Colombia if opportunities arise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establishing, managing and maintaining new and allocated customer accounts
  • Optimizing Company sales by promotion of conductor and casing products and information to existing and potential clients and targeting of potential business
  • Providing external and internal technical assistance to meet or otherwise satisfy customer specification of company products
  • Providing insight/intelligence into changes in customer technology requirements for product development and enhancement
  • Providing technical assistance when a solution to a particular customer problem is required
  • Providing recommendations of product usage for different applications
  • Preparing and/or reviewing quotation packages to assess compliance with customer enquiry requirements
  • Attending conferences, shows and professional association meetings and promoting OSI UK’s brand and product solutions.
  • Relating market activities for designated sales territories, updating sales database and live forecast
  • Participating in product development and improvement, providing first-hand experience-based market intelligence on customer requirements, product performance and other factors.
  • Working with marketing and each Business Unit to develop promotional materials
  • Developing awareness of wider OSI product range in order to exploit market opportunities where they arise.
  • Providing weekly reports of sales prospects, customer enquiries and quotations
  • Ensure all QA and departmental procedures and policies are implemented and adhered to in order to maintain the quality standard BS EN ISO 9001:2000
  • Adhere to all Company Health, Safety and Environmental Policies.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Establish and maintain customer relationships on a business and social level.
  • Evaluate competitors’ market share, products, pricing etc.
  • Create and maintain good working relationships.
  • Remain flexible in approach.
  • Travel is required.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, etc.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree level in an engineering discipline or related.
  • At least five years sales experience in the offshore engineering market, ideally in the field of downhole conductor and casing.
  • Good knowledge of connector products with some practical field experience.
  • A track record of sales success in dealing with non-US client base, specifically Mexico and South America.
  • Domestic and international travel is required, including travel overseas.
  • A current, valid driver’s license is required. Must have and maintain a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Use of a computer, telephone and other office equipment, including copier/scanner, etc.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Frequent driving, standing and walking.
  • Moderate bending, stooping, carrying, reaching and use of stairs.
  • Requires frequent domestic travel and potentially occasional international travel.
