Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Represent a diverse clientele in various legal disputes in both state and federal courts. Maintain direct and continual communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the case cycle. Conduct thorough and effective depositions to gather crucial case information. Manage all aspects of trial preparation from witness preparation and examination to jury selection and argument presentation. Draft, review, and prepare comprehensive legal documents that meticulously detail case arguments and positions. Provide strategic legal and business advice to clients involved in complex commercial transactions. Negotiate settlements judiciously to resolve disputes and achieve client goals whilst minimizing risks. Adhere to all legal standards and regulations, ensuring compliance across all case work. Handle a range of administrative and management tasks associated with legal practice to ensure organizational efficiency. Minimum Position Qualifications: Significant trial and courtroom experience in commercial litigation settings. Proven ability to manage and prioritize a litigation docket effectively. Active membership and good standing with the Texas Bar Association. Strong legal analysis and research skills. Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Demonstrated capability in client relationship and management skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in high-stake negotiations and mediations. Familiarity with the latest legal technologies and software for case management. Advanced certifications or continued legal education in commercial litigation or related fields. Leadership or mentorship experience within a legal setting. Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills. Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in using legal databases and research tools.
