A rare opportunity has arisen for a Chief Financial Officer at a privately owned, multi-state project management company with 200 employees, based in eastern Tennessee. This leadership position demands a strategic thinker with exceptional skills in finance and management. As the CFO, you will spearhead the development of financial strategies that align with the company's objectives, demonstrating a firm grasp of financial planning, asset management, and regulatory compliance to optimize our operations and propel its growth.
Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and present accurate financial statements to stakeholders. Manage general accounting functions including bank reconciliations and month-end close processes. Ensure compliance with tax laws and filings, especially in relation to multi-state payroll. Supervise the asset management process to optimize the company’s financial health. Conduct long-term financial forecasting and strategy development. Engage and negotiate with financial institutions to facilitate investment management. Oversee the financial risk management strategies for the company. Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Accounting or a related field. At least 10 years of financial experience in a leadership role. Proficiency in financial software and systems integral to financial operations. Demonstrated experience in multi-state tax compliance and payroll management. Must be able to work from the office located in the Dandridge/Morristown area. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: CPA certification. Previous experience in a similar industry or role preferred but not mandatory. Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Proven track record of financial management in a project-oriented company. Experience in strategic development and implementation of budgeting processes. Leadership experience with a medium to large-sized organization. Skills: Strategic planning and leadership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient in regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
