Andrews & Cole is hiring a career-minded professional, excited about building a career with a well-established but rapidly growing DC area search, staffing and consulting firm.
The Manager, Business Development will work closely with the Partners in managing existing client relationships, developing new clients, supporting strategic marketing initiatives, and providing interim and advisory solutions to DC area clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 in nearly every industry, including real estate, private equity, tech, software, hospitality, fintech, media, Edtech, consulting and life sciences.
Excellent compensation in line with experience, includes base and commission.
Responsibilities:
Meet with existing and prospective clients to understand their business and recommend staffing solutions based on their needs. Collaborate with internal account managers and Partners on key strategic client accounts. Provide recruiting and consulting services to clients including organizational development, workforce trends, and long-term retention strategies. Generate new leads through marketing calls, visits, and networking; analyze prospective clients’ needs and customize ideal strategic recruitment and staffing solutions. Set and attend sales appointments with key decision makers who hire at current and prospective client companies. Identify, analyze, and close new business. Track activity, achieving monthly activity goals. Match candidates to open positions, conduct reference checks, prep, debrief, and negotiate terms. Maintain and update internal database with relevant information on current and potential clients. Support, implement and execute strategic marketing and communications plans, driving engagement and awareness of the Andrews & Cole brand. Gather business intelligence, including company, background, organization, budget, timelines, potential competitors, purchasing process, etc. Build rapport and develop long-term business relationships with clients. Develop marketing plan including planning and attending professional and networking events to increase brand awareness and generate additional leads and referrals. Qualifications: BS/BA from a top tier university; MBA/CPA a plus. 5+ years of sales, finance, accounting or general business experience. Analytical mindset; able to develop creative solutions to clients' problems. Highly self-motivated and self-disciplined with ability to work as a team and independently. Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships, particularly with hiring managers, business owners, presidents and CEO’s. A proven history of meeting/exceeding goals and objectives. Able to work onsite in Bethesda and travel to meet clients in the Greater Washington, DC area.
