We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in Santa Barbara, California. As an integral part of our team, you will handle a range of tasks related to managing and processing vendor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and resolving payment-related inquiries.


Responsibilities:


• Efficiently process and classify vendor payments on a regular basis

• Maintain and update vendor documents, including W-9s and contracts

• Regularly review and merge duplicate vendors in the system

• Download invoices from vendor websites and upload them for processing

• Conduct weekly reconciliation of vendor payments and ensure correct classification in the GL

• Take part in the cash count and deposit processing routine

• Assist in the development of fixed and prepaid asset schedules and calculate depreciation and amortization

• Perform monthly reconciliation of accrued expenses and deferred revenue

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations

• Review internal documents for migration to SharePoint and ensure consistency in naming and organization


• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Must have experience with ADP - Financial Services.
• Able to perform all necessary Accounting Functions.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Auditing skills are a must.
• Must be able to perform Bank Reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online is required.
• Experience with Donor Perfect software is a bonus.
