We are in search of an Accounting Assistant based in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is crucial to our operations in the accounting industry, where you will be tasked with various accounting and administrative duties. The position offers an exciting employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process and enter invoices
• Handle vendor statement reconciliation
• Oversee the setup of new construction jobs
• Prepare bob cost billings and cash application
• Develop percentage completion schedules
• Allocate project management time and equipment time
• Carry out bank reconciliation preparation
• Manage notes payable, including recording drafts and payments, making loan draw and escrow reimbursement requests
• Oversee credit card management and payments
• Maintain records of automobile, grading equipment, and golf course equipment inventory
• Execute journal entries and cash management entries
• Conduct month end reconciliations, including notes payable, prepaid accounts, accounts payable, real estate tax accruals, and other reconciliations
• Assist in filing after each check run and moving files at year end.• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Accounting Assistant or in a similar role
• Proficient in entering invoices and conducting balance sheet account reconciliation
• Demonstrated experience with prepaid accounts and prepaids
• Proven ability to handle check runs and perform ad hoc analysis
• Familiarity with Sage 300 accounting software is required
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
