Job Title: CT Technologist Job Specialty: MSB Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12pm-7pm Flexible 5x7.50 Hr Guaranteed Hours: 37.50 Experience: At least 1 year of CT experience License: New York State License (L.R.T) Certifications: ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, BLS certification Must-Have: Graduate of Radiologic Technologist Job Description: - Utilize appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. - Perform daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper calibration before patient studies. - Inject patients with radioactive material following physician's order and protocol. - Adhere to all department documentation policies by filling appropriate logs, manuals, and charge documents. - Perform quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while following radiation safety guidelines. - Maintain, develop, and retrieve patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. - Order patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses and verify proper receipt and activity levels. - Perform CT procedures according to prescribed protocols for accuracy and uniformity. - Exercise judgment to assess and respond to patient needs during Radiology department visits.
