Location: Secaucus, NJ, United States Posted on: Dec 02, 2021 Profile: The VP of Operations & Strategy role is very hands-on and will be responsible for leading all Distribution for North America for one of our retail clients. It requires someone who leads by example and is proactive as well as strategic. The success of this role is based on the performance of the team, so it is essential that you can effectively coach, train, and develop Directors. Full-time Responsibilities: Communicate with customers, vendors, and operations to ensure customer commitments are met. Establish procedures for maintaining overall company quality objectives. Provide guidance to Directors with respect to personnel, quality, and safety. Hire, train, develop and appraise staff effectively. Ensure all records/reports are completed on time and maintained appropriately. Adhere to and enforce all safe work practices. Manage a team, focusing on specific growth opportunities and trends to leverage industry benchmarks and provide year-over-year improvement of KPI measurements. Oversee warehousing, receiving, distribution and maintenance, including equipment operations. Own compliance, scorecard performance, vendor management, financial penalties, and chargebacks. Ensure metrics are in place to measure the effectiveness of processes. Experience: 10 to 15 years with a multi-channel retailer. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field. Availability to occasionally travel between distribution centers and headquarters. Experience working with 3PLs. Strong analytics and KPIs. Strong DTC background. Multi-site distribution experience.
