Role: Senior Rates Real Time Pricing Developer (Java development)
Location: NYC, NY -10013 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite per week)
Position type: 12 months with high possibility of extension/Conversion as FTE

Description: This senior developer role is within a global application development team responsible for Real Time Pricing and Risk applications for Rates trading business. The role will focus on design and implementation of critical new features for pricing functionality. This role requires strong programming skills in Java, good knowledge of relational databases and streaming frameworks.
Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the team to understand functional and operational requirements • Come up with designs and implement robust and testable code in support of the requirements • Develop certain non-functional features in the system to improve reliability, scalability and performance • Contribute to the design and implementation of pricing utilities in a streaming environment • Migrate trader spreadsheet utilities into Java implementations
Key Relationships: • Real Time Pricing and Risk Team in Warsaw, London, New York • Other development teams also located in the same regions and India • Quantitative Analytics team • Application support organization • Traders based in New York
Knowledge/Experience: • 7+ years of relevant experience in Application Development • Experience with system analysis and in programming of software applications, especially as it pertains to performance and testability of components • Familiarity with interest rates products and associated pricing and risk calculations a plus • Ability to be proactive, adjust priorities quickly • Experience working on a mature development in a large collaborative environment as well as coming up with ideas that challenge current practices • Demonstrated leadership skills
Technology Skills: • Experience with Java ecosystem • Expert in Java development • Exposure to profiling, debugging and monitoring tools • Familiarity with Apache Flink, KDB and Solace a plus • Ambition to learn aspects of systems supporting real time curve generation calculations
