Job Details Job Location 1140 Dorchester Ave. - Dorchester, MA Description The Technology Manager is a multifaceted role that requires an ability to leverage technical mastery to provide strategic project management. The PACE Technology Manager provides quality support and technical services to the PACE program in collaboration with the Upham's Corner IT department. The Technology Manager will provide ongoing implementation and review of all technological systems to meet the clinical service delivery and regulatory compliance needs of a PACE model program including the integration of telehealth into all aspects of electronic health record (EHR) software system. The PACE Technology Manager provide project management, technology training, and analytic and compliance in an inclusive and equitable manner to all end users of the PACE programstaff, caregivers and participants. THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Duties & Responsibilities: Evaluates and makes recommendations to the IT director and PACE leadership regarding equipment, tools, and software under consideration for lease or purchasing Maintains an up-to-date technical and practical knowledge and understanding of hardware and software support and analysis to meet regulatory compliance Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches within Electronic Health Record and other electronic systems for administration and clinical tasks Develops mastery of EHR software and PACE specific clinical operations, and work flows in order to provide ongoing leadership within PACE organization in Electronic Clinical documentation Serve as the liaise providing oversight and monitoring for planning and leading all aspects of the EHR project implementation including work plan development and management, planning and conducting design sessions with key users and communicating identified clinical and operational needs to the software vendor. Manage communication between clinical and support staff, operations, management and EHR vendor. Prepare reports, analyses, proposals, and recommendations on a variety of information technology projects and services Triages IT helpdesk requests and partners with the IT director to improve support process for onsite and remote PACE end users Provide technical training and guidance to both onsite and remote employees Serves as a technical resource to participant and caregivers with telehealth hardware for proper implementation based on end users' needs Researches and recommends technology upgrades based on departmental requirements to meet regulatory compliance provide ongoing leadership within PACE organization in Electronic Clinical documentation Identifies potential software and hardware EHR interface Establishes a strong working relationship with end users to resolve critical problems, innovate and provides constant training to meet the technical needs for proper use of EHR, tele monitor and telehealth systems Demonstrates Business Process Re-interning (BPR) skills to resign workflows Monitors database management option and request auditing tools based on findings Identify and resolve potential interface or system interoperability issues Conducts Q&A test periodically and every time a patch is released Recommended software solutions that help Software Engineers while troubleshooting EHR issues Manages inventory of equipment supplied to PACE participants and staff Debugs software and communicate issues to software developers, so they can modify internal code Assists with other clinical projects and initiatives as needed. Performs other duties as required by the position or as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Experience & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Required in Health Care, Information Technology or related field. Master's Degree Preferred. Individuals with clinical degrees in nursing, social work, or related field are highly encouraged to apply. At least 2 years of experience in EHR project management or related hands-on experience in implementing an EHR preferred. In-depth experience and understanding of clinical workflows. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken. Experience developing EHR user guides and work flow analysis. Strong organization, time management, analytical and problem solving skills. Understanding of CMS billing and coding requirements helpful. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with community integrated healthcare such as the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) model of care a plus. Professional IT Certifications, such as: Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Citrix CCEA or CCIA, Cisco CCNA, Exempt/FT Position Independent Action: Proactively take ownership of open IT issues and partner with management on improving systems and services. Supervisory Responsibility: As assigned Serves as a senior escalation point person for the PACE team Able to act independently and in partnerships with the key stakeholders-FQHC IT department, EHR vendor, PACE team Define Access Level to PHI: 3Electronic Health Record (EHR) Specialist/Analyst Description & Responsibilities Level 3: Authorized to access only certain limited categories of PHI and certain limited sections of the UCHC patient's medical record that are necessary to perform job duties, whether treatment, payment or operations duties. Staff in this category level should confine the use of PHI to the minimum necessary required and should not access or read parts of the medical record not needed to perform assigned duties
