IT Director I

The IT Director I serves as the IT liaison for each department in an organization. Understands all business processes for their business discipline and provides technology guidance to ensure maximum ROI for IT business strategy requirements. Facilitates and serves as a lead for the planning and execution of initiatives to enable the organization to achieve objectives through the effective use of technology. Communicates decisions, priorities, and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding service requests, projects, and initiatives. With the VP IT, CIO and business partners, develops long-term systems and strategic growth plans. Develops and executes vision and strategy aligned with the company’s business goals. Plans and manages a respective portfolio of IT and business process work based on discipline. Recruits, selects, coaches, and develops team leadership, engineering, and support staff within vertical team. Assists with managing professional growth and development plans along with functional manager(s).
Primary Job Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and support for Pulte's marketing technology experience, ensuring alignment with the organization's objectives. Develop and implement IT strategies that align with marketing goals to enhance customer-facing functionality and consumer experience. Oversee the development and maintenance of customer-facing applications, ensuring they are user-friendly and meet customer needs. Collaborate with the Marketing leadership to understand their requirements and deliver IT solutions that enhance customers throughout the home buying journey. Build and foster business partnerships and maintain on-going business relationships. Serve as the point of contact for business area relationships. Manage the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of marketing systems to improve efficiency and compliance. Translate high-level strategy and product direction into business solutions. Ensure business objectives and operating model are understood and factored into IT strategy. Define key strategies for the IT delivery model of an organization. Work with financial leadership on annual IT budgets and forecasts. Work with architects to understand innovative technology trends and forecast future IT infrastructure requirements. Lead stakeholder (internal and, when appropriate, external) business planning and strategy meetings. Work with senior leadership to develop team goals in line with department objectives. Conduct performance and development reviews per HR guidelines. Take corrective actions, including Performance Improvement Plans and terminations, when necessary. Translate and champion IT functional strategy to vertical discipline. Other duties as assigned. Management Responsibilities
Ensure appropriate staffing to meet department needs. Utilize recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent. Delegate work according to employee’s abilities and skills. Evaluate employee’s performance and plan for compensation actions in accordance with that performance. Provide opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities. Create opportunities for employee growth. Provide continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors). Scope

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Experience leading complex projects supporting customer-facing websites with multiple brands, Email marketing technologies, content management platforms, and Customer Experience related initiatives. Minimum of 6 years of progressive technical experience. Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience. Thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle and project management methodologies. Broad understanding of business practices and operations. Ability to work autonomously. Required Skills/Knowledge
Ability to connect IT and Marketing departments, ensuring technical solutions meet business and customer needs. Exceptional analytical skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Office / MS Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, SharePoint.
