General Contractor, based in Cranston RI, is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team! Offering services in: Preconstruction, General Contracting, Design/Build, & Construction Management.

Specializing in Public, Institutional/Higher Ed, Lab/Lifescience, & Commercial Projects up to $50M in value

Description

The Senior Estimator is responsible for:

• Analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Collaborating with various parties (architects, subs, etc.) to gather necessary information
• Preparing and submitting comprehensive, competitive bids and proposals
• Evaluating and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Conducting value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and cost factors
• Project cost control and budget management
• Upholding company image / professionalism
• Estimators will be reporting into this Senior Estimator
• Commuting to the office in Cranston, RI

Profile

The right Senior Estimator has the following qualifications:

• Commercial, Lifescience, or Academic project experience (required)
• Ideally public/municipal work but open to other backgrounds (except residential)
• 10+ years of Estimating experience with a General Contractor
• Construction-related degree (highly preferred)
• Computer skill & familiarity with construction softwares (including Newforma, OS Takeoff, Procore)
