KCGM Growth Project Team
has a fantastic opportunity for a
Senior E&I Project Engineer
to join the
Northern Star
construction team managing the major expansion & modernisation project at the
KCGM Gold Processing Facility
in Kalgoorlie. This position will be an initial
18-month contract , with approximately the
first six months
being Perth based at our
Subiaco Project Office , working a
40-hour, Monday to Friday work week , and the remaining
12 months
working a
14/7 FIFO roster
out of
Perth. Here is what awaits you: Tracking and reporting on project progress and performance of site contractors. Review and coordinate required project schedule updates and weekly reports with contractors. Ensure contractor's adherence to KCGM Growth Project QA/QC requirements. Ensure contractor’s adherence to NSR/KCGM policies and procedures. Support site project execution, HSE support, QA/QC, and project closeout activities, which include commissioning activities. Working closely with KCGM operations, not to affect operations. Supporting the various disciplines Superintendents in managing site contractor’s performance. Support the integrated owners engineering team in closing/resolving engineering issues by expediting contractor TQ/RFI responses, which could affect contractor's performance. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement between NSR, contractors and other stakeholders. Encourage a culture of positive collaboration between NSR, contractors and other stakeholders. Reviewing and advising on commercial, contracts and scope changes when requested or noted. To thrive in this role, you’ll need: As a highly experienced
E&I Project Engineer,
you have gained significant experience in a similar site-based role, have worked on both
Greenfields & Brownfields Construction Projects , and understand the complexities involved in the delivery of a large-scale mining construction project. Experience: +10 years of experience delivering projects in the resources industry, including +5 years working for an owner, engineering or construction contracting businesses. Work pack management, including design, fabrication & factory acceptance testing for backup power, switchrooms & overhead power lines, where applicable. At least a basic understanding of administration, finance & business reporting concepts. A thorough knowledge of project management tools. Experience in managing change activities, as well as stakeholder management. Possess a strong level of computer literacy across the
MS Office Suite , as well as experience using
Navisworks. Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in
Electrical Engineering. An industry recognised project management qualification, coupled with significant hands-on experience, would be well regarded. Passion for Growth: Excellent communication & people skills, with the ability to engage, influence & build strong, functional relationships across all levels.
