1 Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a
Data Scientist/Principal Data Scientist
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support a growing portfolio of programs and IRADs that focus on missile defense and hypersonic technologies and will be a core contributor supporting the analysis of raw missile defense simulation outputs. Domestic and international travel (up to 10%) may be required, dependent on program needs. This position will specifically focus on supporting the analysis of system model performance. Basic Qualifications (Data Scientist)
Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn). Solid understanding of statistical analysis and experimental design. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Active DoD Secret Clearance Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team setting Excellent written and verbal communication skills Basic Qualifications (Principal Data Scientist)

Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git, SVN, Mercurial) In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) Comprehensive experience with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Proven track record utilizing agile development methodologies Experience with database management systems, particularly MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite Active DOD Top Secret Clearance What We Can Offer You:
