The Department of Natural Resources, Division of Mining, Land & Water is recruiting for a Natural Resource Manager 2 in Anchorage.

What You Will Be Doing:
Are you ready to take on an exciting leadership role in shaping Alaska's future? We’re looking for a dynamic and visionary leader to direct and inspire a team of land management professionals responsible for overseeing the issuance of leases on state lands, including for commercial, public & charitable, agricultural & grazing, and maricultural purposes. As the Natural Resource Manager 2 for the Leasing Unit at the Southcentral Regional Land Office (SCRO), you’ll play a pivotal role in facilitating public land use, providing for economic development, and developing Alaska’s natural resources consistent with the public interest. If you’re passionate about public land management and thrive in collaborative environments, this is your chance to make a lasting impact! You’ll direct and mentor a dedicated team of up to 15 staff, with 2 direct reports, while leading crucial decisions that enhance the quality of life for present and future Alaskans.

Special Note: For purposes of the minimum qualifications, natural resource management is defined as the management of the land, water, mineral, forest, oil, gas, agricultural, archaeological, natural and cultural history, park, and related surface and subsurface resources.
