The Department of Family and Community Services, Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a full-time Division Operations Manager located in Anchorage, Alaska. What You Will Be Doing The Division Operations Manager (DOM) is part of a dynamic team in the Alaska Psychiatric Institute that provides leadership to the facility's administrative functions. The DOM is responsible for direction, oversight, and policies and procedures for API’s financial, administrative, and budgetary functions including all fiscal and facility planning and management. This position is a part of the division's senior management team which makes recommendations on division goals, policies, regulations, short and long-range planning, and efficient management of division resources. The DOM provides ongoing professional financial and administrative support and consultative services to API's director and senior executive team. Working Environment You Can Expect The selected candidate will work in an environment that is fast-paced and challenging at times, while embracing collaboration through working closely with supervisors, managers, and department leadership to assist in providing services to Alaska Psychiatric Institute. This position is located at 3700 Piper Street in the U-MED district of east Anchorage which offers several maintained walking trails, parks, and nearby lakes. For example, in an administrative services division, qualifying professional experience could be in any one of the professional areas that compose business administration; such as accounting, procurement, human resources, and so on. In a line division, for example the Division of Mining, Land, & Water in the Department of Natural Resources, qualifying experience could be in any one of the professional areas that provide for the use and protection of Alaska's State-owned land and water, such as geology, hydrology, forestry, natural resource management, and so on.
