What You'll Do
Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions. With guidance, conduct analysis and development, elicit requirements, write correct and clean coding, automated testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance. Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed. Participates in technical design of features.
With guidance, conduct analysis and development, elicit requirements, write correct and clean coding, automated testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance. Understand how work fits into the larger project and identify problems with requirements. Apply changes to follow security policies and standards with guidance.
Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed. Growing expertise in at least one large area of the code/solution with a high-level understanding of other components. Ensure established controls, policies, regulations and recommend mitigation strategies are followed during development. Ensure system is secure and meets policy and regulatory requirements during development.
Participates in technical design of features with guidance. A focus on attaining expertise in one or more technical areas.
Take on tasks of increasing complexity, learn quickly and make steady progress without the need for constant significant feedback from more senior engineers. Own small to medium features from technical design through completion.
Stay current and engaged on industry trends.
Assist in communicating technical concepts to business stakeholders as well as communicate business objectives to the technical team.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required.
Who You Are
Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience) and 2+ years work experience or equivalent experience
Proven experience as an IT professional
Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus
Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred
Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language
Basic leadership skills preferred
Excellent time management skills preferred
Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both It and non-IT partners
Some travel may be required, including overnight stays
May be required to provide on-call support
Salary Range Information
Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$75000 - $101000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
