Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
Voice Data Engineer / Cable Technician
with expertise in telecommunications and data cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telephony system architectures, including POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) and ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), along with experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network and voice communication systems.

Install, configure, and maintain telecommunication systems, including POTS and ISDN architectures. Terminate, test, and label data and voice cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optics, etc.). Deploy network equipment, such as switches, routers, and voice gateways.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
Diagnose and resolve issues with voice and data systems, ensuring minimal downtime. Perform routine maintenance on telephony systems and associated infrastructure. Monitor network performance to identify potential problems and implement solutions proactively.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and repairs. Create and update technical documentation and diagrams for system designs. Provide reports on system performance and suggest improvements.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate with clients to understand their telecommunication needs. Provide on-site and remote support as necessary, ensuring client satisfaction. Train end-users on the proper use of telephony systems and network devices.
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 a year
