Secret Clearance Required Salary: $90,000 - 100,000/year As a Voice Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of voice communication systems, focusing primarily on ISDN and POTS technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality voice services while ensuring the smooth operation of voice infrastructure and integrations. Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage ISDN and POTS networks to support enterprise-level voice communication systems. Configure and maintain both inbound and outbound call routing, ensuring optimal voice quality and network performance. Support voice over IP (VoIP) and legacy telephony systems integration. Diagnose and resolve voice network issues related to ISDN, POTS, and related infrastructure. Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement corrective actions. Monitor voice network performance, including call quality, signal integrity, and system reliability. Proactively identify potential network performance issues and recommend solutions to ensure continuous operation. Lead or participate in voice network upgrade projects, including transitioning from legacy POTS systems to more modern VoIP solutions. Collaborate with project managers and IT teams to meet project deadlines and technical specifications. Maintain detailed documentation of voice network configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate periodic reports on network performance, system health, and service metrics. Work with third-party vendors and service providers for troubleshooting, upgrades, and service improvements. Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal service level agreements (SLAs) and issue resolution. Requirements

Secret Clearance Required Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in voice network engineering with hands-on expertise in ISDN and POTS technologies. Solid understanding of voice protocols such as ISDN BRI/PRI, TDM, and PSTN. Familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, H.323) and their integration with ISDN and POTS networks. Strong knowledge of voice network hardware and software, including PBX systems, media gateways, and routers. Experience configuring and managing telephony devices and interfaces (ISDN cards, analog/digital gateways, voice routers, etc.). Knowledge of voice network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Familiarity with networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, and switching) and network troubleshooting techniques.
