Job Description:
In this highly strategic role, you will work directly with LePrix’s C-Suite and senior management group to develop and implement the company’s global sales and operations planning business strategy. As a Senior Planner, you will be responsible for converting and bridging business strategy into demand and purchasing plans for the organization. You will have a holistic view of all wholesale sourcing and distribution channels.
Responsibilities:
Drive Supply Planning: Lead and execute supply planning processes across global procurement units.
Support Sales & Marketing: Validate demand plans by analyzing historical sales trends at multiple levels of aggregation.
Collaborate for Alignment: Work closely with Sales & Marketing to review and align departmental demand plans with supply strategies.
Develop Channel Strategies: Create demand and supply strategies for new store fulfillment and existing store replenishment.
Partner with Leadership: Collaborate with Procurement & Operations leadership to develop procurement and production plans in line with global demand and supply forecasts.
Lead S&OP Meetings: Conduct monthly Sales & Operations Planning meetings with key stakeholders to review progress, update forecasts, and assess supply performance.
Identify Opportunities and Risks: Ensure all future business opportunities and risks are reflected in the rolling demand and supply forecasts.
Monitor Stock and Merchandising: Develop strategies to enhance visibility and minimize risks related to stockouts and aging products.
Ensure Information Flow: Maintain regular, accurate, and updated information flow between sales, procurement, operations, and finance teams.
Support Regional and HQ Planning: Assist APAC, EU and HQ planning teams with reports, projects, and other activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree is required.
4-8 years of experience in wholesale, retail, or demand planning.
Proficiency in Excel, knowledge of Tableau, Power BI/Query, or VBA is preferred.
Ability to work with large data sets, analyzing problems from various aspects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required. Knowledge of Japanese is a plus.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are important.
Must have the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
Strong forecasting logic, e.g., forecast accuracy in MAPE & BIAS, product seasonality & lifecycle; previous background in wholesale industry would be a plus.
Team player who is comfortable working across multiple teams, personalities and management levels - balancing optics across stakeholders who are both process input providers and process output users.
