Job Description
Gpac is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join a client company that is in the Pet industry or experience in it. The Senior Account Manager would be responsible over managing existing accounts and gaining new accounts and relationships for the business throughout the nation.
The Senior Account Manager would have existing experience working on accounts/buyers such as FDM - Big Box retailers (TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Biglots, Dollar stores, Walmart, Target, etc.), drug stores, brokers, distributors and preferably pet specialty retail stores as well.
Senior Account Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluate current business processes and systems and make recommendations for efficiency improvements and/or cost reductions. Review performance data (financial, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels Achieve quarterly/annual goals accountability. Utilize variance reports, acquired technical product knowledge, market trends, and industry publications, establish personal networks and participate in pet industry trade shows. Service existing accounts, identify opportunities for growth, and have a purpose for the visit. Drive to sell and grow territory volume, number of customer accounts, and sales revenue Obtain orders and increase sales volume by presenting both promotions and new lines. Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information, identifying competitor trends, and assessing the presence and merchandising techniques. Follow up with customer questions or issues and resolve problems in a timely manner. Keep management apprised of sales activity via various reports (call logs, work plans, territory analysis). Submits reports in a timely, organized manner. Maintain technical knowledge by learning about products and trends, reading industry publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in pet industry trade shows. Focus on customer satisfaction and building client relationships. Attend trade shows. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements:
Minimum of Five years of pet industry sales experience Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PPT Ability to leverage computerized systems and spreadsheets to measure and analyze efficiencies. Some traveling required. Be located or relocate to Southern California to be onsite in the office
