Business Analyst Location: Jersey City, NJ or Whitehouse Station, NJ - Hybrid Duration: 18 months Job description Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders from business, operations, and technology teams to analyse current workflows, and to develop net-new solutions. Collaborate with product owners, business, and solution architects to design target state processes and user journeys enabled by a spectrum of AI capabilities. Document business requirements, epics, and user stories in alignment with the product vision and roadmap. Coordinate with business users to publish and sign off on the business requirements, manage and prioritize changes based on the business need. Create presentations, research reports to highlight the key insights to be presented to the stakeholders, allowing them to make informed decisions. Create and review test cases, and coordinate with business stakeholders, end users for user acceptance. Support throughout the development lifecycle from project inception to user acceptance and deployment. Partner with the business users to ensure the developed solutions are fully aligned with the business needs. Perform exploratory data analysis using excel, SQL and/or Python. Candidate Requirements Strong knowledge of the core insurance functions underwriting, claims, marketing, distribution in P&C Insurance. Experience in Commercial Insurance is preferred. Master's/bachelor's degree in engineering, business, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline. Creative thinker with proven skills in conceptualizing new product features, define product roadmaps, develop business cases and proposals for solutions built on digital technologies. Experience with data analysis/manipulation using Excel, SQL and/or Python. minimum of 7 years of professional experience with at-least 5 years as a business analyst in P&C Insurance. Insurance certifications from recognized institutions such as the Institutes is preferred. Ability to work with cross functional global and local teams for the various projects across multiple time zones as and when required. Ability to deliver efficient and creative solutions in an incredibly fast paced environment with limited resources and minimal supervision.
