Location: Columbia, SC (Onsite)

This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday in a typical office environment. You will work an 8-hour shift scheduled during our normal business hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. This role is located at 51 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist Sr/Recruiters and Sr/Talent Acquisition Partners in execution of strategic staffing plans by posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial candidate screens to assess for levels of interest, qualifications and salary expectations, and provide recommendations. Provide basic sourcing support, when needed. Act as full lifecycle recruiter, when needed.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external key stakeholders on BlueCross BlueShield talent acquisition processes. Provide support and coaching to hiring team through the selection process. Communicate with candidates. Represent organization at various recruiting events.

  • Utilize recruitment tools such as the Human Capital Management (HCM) system for workflow tracking, candidate disposition, offer extension, and new hire documentation. Collaborate with team members to ensure all applicable pre-employment checks are completed.

  • Conduct research to assist Sr/Recruiter and Sr/Talent Acquisition Partners with trends and changes in the market and talent landscape. Use market insights, competitive intelligence, and talent demographics to create data-driven direction and recommendations for talent strategies.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:


Required Education: Bachelor's

Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience

Required Work Experience: 2+ years of Human Resources experience OR internship or co-op experience within a Recruiting/Talent Acquisition capacity

Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to work in team. Customer service orientation. Detail oriented with strong time management and planning capabilities. Good judgment skills. Ability to think independently and proactively provide well though-out decisions. Effective customer service, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion.

Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office. Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or Human Capital Management System (HCM).

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources/Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Education or Training

Preferred Software and Other Tools: Working knowledge of Microsoft Access or other database software.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates: PHR, SPHR, AIRS, CIR, CDR

Work Environment: Typical office environment. Some travel between office buildings. Some out of town travel. Occasional transport of materials.
