Job Description
Reports to the Operations Training Supervisor and is responsible for the delivery of approved technical training materials. Responsibilities may include Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation of training materials in addition to the delivery. The technical training is provided to qualify personnel for positions in plant operations, maintenance, laboratory, radiological control organization, engineering and/or other technical training.
This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Education/Experience:
Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, and 10 years' experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 1-year technical training implementation experience.

Associate degree preferably with courses in education or training that focus on delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, and 12 years' experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 2 years technical training implementation experience.

HS Diploma preferably with courses in education or training that focus on delivery and testing as well as evaluation of training programs, and 14 years' experience as a trainer and/or operator at a Department of Energy Nuclear facility or similar high-hazard facility. 3 years technical training implementation experience.
*Must possess strong computer skills.

This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site.
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual
Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $112,835.92 - $178,251.96 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
- Implementation of facility operations training programs to support the operation of the waste vitrification facilities at the Hanford Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant
- Participate in the process for the analysis, design, development, implementation, administration, and evaluation of nuclear training programs.
- Administer a training change process to determine impact of a change on training programs and make necessary changes to programs.
- Participate in team decision making regarding training programs.
- Perform other training related tasks as required to support the project mission.
- Evaluate and process project training requests.
- Interface with customers, report progress, identity, and perform improvement initiatives.
- Participate in the team decision process for the analysis of project systems and processes for creation of training materials. This includes the reading and interpretation of piping and instrument drawings, process flow documents, vendor manuals, system, and design drawings. Determine and sequence activities for major systems and evolutions.
- Perform data input and manipulation in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Perform instruction and orientation in systems and processes.
- Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.
