HERE'S WHAT THE JOB WOULD LOOK LIKE, ALONG WITH THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS.

As the Area Director of Revenue Strategy, you will lead and coordinate revenue management strategies for all hotels in your assigned cities. You will deliver critical insights into company-wide decisions impacting pricing, occupancy, revenue objectives, and commercial planning.

ONGOING + EVERYDAY TASKS

  • Provide revenue management support to assigned regional hotels, including reporting, rate loading, and system management to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Configure and oversee key systems: revenue management system, central reservation system, property management system, and distribution platforms.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust pricing strategies, packages, and value propositions to achieve or exceed monthly RevPAR index goals.
  • Conduct weekly and monthly forecasting; prepare and present the annual budget to stakeholders.
  • Analyze competitive pricing trends and adjust strategies to ensure market leadership and RevPAR penetration.
  • Educate hotels on revenue management best practices, system functionality, and company initiatives through documentation and webinars.
  • Ensure forecasts reflect current business volumes and trends, questioning and validating major variances.
  • Manage strategy and performance of all third-party distribution partners to maximize revenue potential.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with revenue generation best practices; track and follow through on recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Sales to align RFP rate strategies with budget expectations and competitive analysis.

THE ANALYTICAL SIDE

  • Utilize Aparium's systems and tools to implement and monitor effective selling strategies across all distribution channels.
  • Evaluate and recommend strategies to improve group sales and base business performance.
  • Analyze market demand using tools like property diagnostics, CRS reports, market share data, competitive pricing, and STR reports.
  • Monitor and refine rate and inventory management strategies; prepare reports such as booking pace, denial, and displacement analysis.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reporting packages, including reservation sources, market commentary, and actionable recommendations.
  • Track and analyze business mix trends and adapt strategies based on changing demand cycles.
