Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:15 PM
The Honors College at Perimeter College promotes the academic and personal growth of talented and motivated students by engaging them in a stimulating Honors College curriculum that offers personalized attention, small classes taught by dedicated faculty, and independent research. We are seeking to hire an Administrative Specialist to support these initiatives and enhance the student experience.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of the Honors College, the Administrative Specialist will deliver high-level administrative and office support to both the Associate Dean and the Honors College unit. This role will be based on either the Alpharetta Campus, the Clarkston Campus, or may involve responsibilities across both locations, ensuring efficient operations and contributing to the college's mission of fostering academic excellence

Qualifications:
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years of administrative experience; or a high school diploma or GED and six years of administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
In addition to the University's minimum qualifications for hire, the successful candidate will have:
• Experience as an administrative or executive assistant, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Proficiency in standard office equipment, including phone systems, copiers, and classroom audiovisual (AV) systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with faculty, staff, and students both virtually and in person.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Familiarity with university policies, procedures, and administrative systems, including Slate, CRM, and Banner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
• Experience with digital tools like Canva, MailChimp, Salesforce, and iCollege.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff or student assistants.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of the Honors College, the Administrative Specialist will deliver high-level administrative and office support to both the Associate Dean and the Honors College unit. Responsibilities will generally include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Managing front desk clerical operations including multiple non-person email inboxes, virtual and in-person interactions, and general reception support.
- Managing office equipment and supplies, and ordering replacements as needed.
- Organizing shared calendars and conference rooms; ensuring meeting spaces are appropriately requisitioned ahead of time.
- Prioritize and schedule meetings and appointments for the dean and associate dean - often making calendar-related decisions on their behalf. Executive support for Dean's office personnel.
- Provide administrative onboarding support to new department staff members and faculty associates.
- Collect and interpret data from prospective students, enrolled students, alumni, and faculty engagement events including the creation of survey instruments and forms as needed.
- Coordinate with the Honors College academic advisors during New Student Orientation to provide specialized support.
- Provide administrative and operational support to cross-functional teams (e.g., admissions and events) and programs in the college including meeting preparations, resource management, and event support.
- Other duties as assigned.
