Summary of Job Duties:
The Marketing and Recruiting Specialist initiates, plans, and executes a variety of assigned projects, including marketing, brand management, recruitment, and other projects, initiatives, and activities as needed or as assigned to significantly and measurably contribute to the growth of the University of Arkansas' Master of Science in Operations Management and Master of Science in Engineering Management programs.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships within the program, externally in other university offices or departments, and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, operations management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least one year of experience working in an academic setting
  • Experience or knowledge of standard methods to assess proposals for digital and print marketing products
  • Experience in the management and optimization of websites and social media platforms
Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in higher education, marketing, business, operations management, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least two years of experience in brand management and/or business development
  • Experience in using customer relationship management platforms, other data collection, and information management platforms
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders which will benefit the MSOM and MSEM programs
  • Knowledge and skill to develop methods to evaluate the effectiveness of efforts and communicate accomplishments to key stakeholders


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
