Position Summary
The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting enterprise IT services and solutions and enhancing our organizations processes and technologies. They will interact with the business to identify goals, areas of improvement, or any other pain points the stakeholder may be experiencing. The person will have knowledge of Business Applications, Data Analytics and Visualization, IT Infrastructure, Cloud Services or Automation. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and contribute to the successful delivery of IT projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Working knowledge of word processing tools and other relevant software packages 1 to 3+ years in a technology-driven role Strong research and analytical skills with ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all organizational levels and facilitate virtual and in person meetings Excellent critical thinking skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong Leadership skills Strong Vendor Management skills
Main Responsibilities
Function as a central liaison between the IT group, vendors and business units for application issues, system enhancements and implementation of new systems Facilitate communication between lines of business and support functions Work closely with stakeholders to understand their business needs and translate them into clear and concise requirements. Document and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and overall business strategy Conduct workshops, interviews, and analysis of existing documentation to document current state business processes Develop and implement process maps, workflows, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Translate complex business requirements to various functional IT teams, 3rd party consultants or vendors Collaborate with business subject matter experts, 3rd party vendors or consultants or internal IT stakeholders to design and document future state business processes based on project requirements Identify Opportunities to streamline and improve existing processes Engage in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities Act as a lead for planning and coordinating testing activities, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) Work with stakeholders to define test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria Monitor testing progress, identify defects or issues, and ensure timely resolution to maintain project timelines and quality standards Review and refine backlog items based on changing priorities, resource availability, and business needs Analyze project data, performance metrics, and KPIs to provide insights and support decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce regular reports and updates on application development and implementation Monitor project progress against milestones and deliverables, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies Support change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder engagement Create detailed documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, and user manuals Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and business users to ensure clarity and alignment Other duties as assigned
Desired Characteristics
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP) or Project Management (e.g. PMP) is a plus. Graduate degree in a related discipline Excellent planning and time management skills Results driven able to execute with high personal accountability Self-motivated, able to work independently or as a team Strong influencing skills Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an IT environment Strong personal values corresponding with Jet Aviation values (Trust, Honesty, Alignment, Transparency)
