Commercial Lines Product Senior Analyst (Flex Office/Home)

In this position you will monitor and analyze the performance of the line or book of business, providing product strategy recommendations to divisional and departmental leadership. You will also evaluate and track competitor products, pricing information, and target markets. Additionally, you will research competitor pricing and rating programs, providing insights and analysis to the business for pricing enhancements and new products. Depending on business needs, you may specialize in product management and/or product development accountabilities.

Position Compensation Range:

$84,000.00 - $139,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities

  • You will lead the implementation of new products and services, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all customers.
  • You will monitor and analyze the performance of product lines, agents, and the book of business, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring equitable outcomes for all.
  • You will evaluate profit factors and conduct data analysis to provide product strategy recommendations that promote growth, retention, and inclusivity across the book of business.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with other teams to identify product gaps and opportunities, ensuring that all customer needs are considered.
  • You will research and develop innovative and inclusive products and services that meet the diverse needs of our customers.
  • You will collaborate with partners in pricing/actuarial, claims, and other areas to ensure product compliance, financial viability, and accessibility for all.
  • You will draft contract language, develop initial underwriting guidelines and standards, and oversee the development of new predictive analytics, including pricing models and other models that are fair and unbiased.
  • You will serve as a subject matter expert in the development of contract language and underwriting guidelines, ensuring product compliance and inclusivity.
  • You will conduct thorough competitive research and analysis for personal lines products, utilizing diverse information sources and tools to support informed decision-making.
  • You will analyze all available data to understand our competitive position in the marketplace, identifying opportunities to improve inclusivity and accessibility in our offerings.
  • You will provide recommendations to leadership on how to capitalize on product offerings and geographical areas, ensuring equitable access for all customers.
  • You will provide expertise on how competitor actions and industry trends influence our ability to meet corporate and divisional objectives, ensuring that all customer segments are considered.
  • You will recommend operational and product changes to management that enhance our competitive position and promote inclusivity.
  • You will stay informed about competitor rate changes, rating enhancements, and program changes, analyzing their impact on our competitive position and identifying opportunities to improve inclusivity.
  • You will ensure the accuracy of your analysis and reporting, explaining the drivers and insights related to changes in our competitive position and highlighting the impact on diverse customer groups.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

  • You will demonstrate experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • You will demonstrate experience performing complex financial, actuarial, or business analysis.
  • You will possess solid knowledge and understanding of the customer, business industry, insurance, underwriting guidelines, and risk concepts in your area of expertise.
  • You will demonstrate problem-solving and analytical skills to review complex products and/or lines of business.
  • You will demonstrate experience making independent decisions.
  • You will demonstrate experience in project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 10%.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • You will have Farm, Agricultural or Property Insurance experience.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; St. Joseph, MO 64507
