MAJOR FUNCTION:
Planning, coordinating, collaborating, and executing a data-driven program which includes assessing students, analyzing data, setting measurable targets for both short and long-term improvement, and for faculty: coordinate literacy and math instructional resources. delivery of small group interventions and 1:1 instructional support for students requiring additional academic support will routinely occur. The focus is on enhancing the instructional needs and support for students that are below academic levels.
This full-time position will work with staff to deliver an elementary/middle school program that meets or exceeds state standards and coordinate within the staff, parents, and community to integrate and diversify instruction. This position is responsible for monitoring and enforcing building safety and security; assisting in planning and implementing student programs; and assisting in the development and implementation of the school improvement plan.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the requisite knowledge, skills, and ability to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. It is determined that to carry out the essential duties and responsibilities an individual must be able to work at a desk, conference table, or in meetings of various configurations; stand and circulate for extended periods; hear and understand speech at normal levels; see up close, at a distance, and have depth perception; communicate so others will be able to clearly understand normal conversations; bend and twist, stoop, kneel, run and crawl; reach in all directions; and lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

The Interventionist will support tutoring, implementation of designed interventions, prepare lesson plans for intervention groups, consult/collaborate with classroom teachers on student needs and progress, assist with progress monitoring, actively support the MTSS/RTI team, maintain documentation of student needs, goals, and progress in each group. Support as a substitute, on an as-needed basis. Also, be available to support all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIRED:
2 years of College Experience
1 year of experience in K-8 education setting
PREFERRED: Bachelor's preferred. Experience Basic Computer knowledge
