Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (hours may vary)

40 hours per week/Full time w/Benefits

Full Job Description:

Position Summary:

Responsible for collecting patient specimens for clinical analysis. Specimens include blood, body fluid and cultures.

Significant Duties:
  • Perform venipunctures using various techniques.
  • Perform capillary collections.
  • Obtain culture specimens from various sources.
  • Instruct patients on proper collection of off-site specimens.
  • Research specimen requirements for referred tests.
  • Inventory and requisition phlebotomy supplies.
  • Print patient billing information.
  • Attend and actively participate in department meetings.
