The HR Leave Specialist will be responsible for administering and managing the full life cycle of employee leaves, including but not limited to FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, parental leave, workers’ compensation, and other state and federal leave programs. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, streamline processes, and provide outstanding support to employees and managers throughout the leave process.


Responsibilities:
  • Administer Leave Programs: Manage various types of leaves (FMLA, ADA, parental leave, military leave, personal leave, etc.) and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

  • End-to-End Management: Oversee the entire leave process, from intake and eligibility determination to return-to-work coordination.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding leave programs and company policies. Stay updated on changes in regulations.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave requests, eligibility, documentation, and status updates.

  • Documentation & Records: Maintain accurate and confidential leave records, ensuring timely and complete documentation.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve leave processes and procedures for efficiency and employee experience.

  • Reporting: Generate reports and analytics on leave trends and provide insights to the HR team.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with payroll, benefits, and HR teams to ensure seamless coordination during leave periods.

  • Employee Support: Guide employees through leave processes with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.


Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience managing a variety of leave programs, including FMLA, disability, workers' compensation, and other leaves.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Skills:

    • In-depth knowledge of federal and state leave laws.

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.

    • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Certifications: HR-related certifications (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) are a plus.



Pay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
