About The Role
As Whisper Aero's first HR Specialist, you will be instrumental in shaping and implementing effective HR strategies and processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a start-up environment and is passionate about building a robust HR framework from the ground up.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage HR administrative processes, including documentation, employee administration management, and HR reporting
- Lead the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming introduction to the company
- Generate insightful HR reports to aid in decision-making regarding talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development
- Manage special projects, contributing to areas like diversity and inclusion, employee wellness, company culture and professional development
- Conduct regular HR meetings, ensuring clear communication and alignment of HR initiatives with business goals
- Collaborate closely with department heads to understand their HR needs and provide tailored support
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role, preferably in a manufacturing, production or start-up environment
- Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in HRIS systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience in government contractor compliance, including knowledge of FAR, DFARS, or other related regulations
- Knowledge in managing visa processes, immigration compliance, and employee relocation to support talent needs efficiently.
- Experience in setting up HR processes and systems in a start-up or fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of the aerospace or technology sectors is a plus
