Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will be an integral part of our HR team, contributing to a broad range of HR functions while driving key processes that are essential to our success. With a strong emphasis on administrative tasks, onboarding, and managing workers' compensation and unemployment claims, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of HR. What you will do

  • Multitask in a Dynamic Environment: Provide HR support across SweatHouz and Dogtopia teams, managing various responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Recruitment Assistance: Help drive our hiring process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews to find the best talent.

  • Onboarding Management: Ensure new hires have a smooth transition into the company by preparing orientation materials, conducting training sessions, and managing the onboarding process.

  • HR Administration: Keep employee records up to date, process essential documentation, and maintain compliance with HR policies and procedures.

  • Workers' Compensation & Unemployment Claims: Manage claims by ensuring accurate documentation and communication, helping employees navigate the process smoothly.

  • Employee Relations: Address employee inquiries and offer guidance on HR policies to ensure a positive, compliant workplace.

  • Employee Engagement: Help organize employee engagement initiatives and coordinate training programs that foster a motivated and empowered workforce.

  • Database Management: Maintain HR databases, generate reports, and ensure data accuracy for HR metrics and compliance.

  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that support company growth and employee satisfaction.

  • Payroll and Benefit Administration: Ensure accuracy for bonus payouts, reimbursements, hour adjustments, etc during payroll processes. Launch, approve, and notify employees of new benefit enrollments. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2 years of experience in HR or related administrative roles; experience with Paylocity is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, particularly Paylocity, is a plus.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
