IronRoad is conducting a confidential search for our Ohio based client that has locations in the tri-state area that the position will be supporting. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to support our clients head of HR and all of their employees in conjunction with providing strategic guidance and general HR support. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that will require you to provide your creative problem-solving skill and experience that keeps our client compliant with rules, regulations and the law while considering the needs of the business operation. Job Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. It will also involve various functions of the HR department including administrative tasks, employee relations support, and enforcing company policies and practices at our clients' locations in the tri-state area.


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides guidance on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.

• Serves as a trusted advisor & provides expert guidance on sensitive employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.

• Develops, revises, and implements HR policies and procedures.

• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour laws, FLSA, I-9, and workplace safety regulations.

• Answers nonroutine requests for information on policy interpretation.

• Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow.

• Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies and procedures.

• Facilitate engaging training sessions on HR topics, compliance, and leadership development.

• Works on special projects as assigned.

• Builds and maintains strong relationships through regular communication, proactive guidance, and exceptional customer service.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.

• Minimum of three years of professional-level experience in human resources, including experience resolving complex employee relations issues.

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.

• Must maintain a current SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR credential.


Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

• Approximately 20% travel is required in the tri-state area. (All travel will be within the local area and will not require overnight stays)

Salary Range - Full Time:

$70,000 - $75,000
