Robert Half is hiring: Accounting Manager in Syracuse

Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a cool client of his that is in Syracuse. It's a casual office here (wear jeans to work) and bring your dog once in a while...probably not a good spot for a cat though, ha ha. The Accounting Manager position will involve supervising the accounting operations within the organization, ensuring financial reporting accuracy, compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating the efficiency of accounting processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Manage general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations

• Supervise and ensure the accuracy of daily accounting functions

• Oversee the processes of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures, adhering to set deadlines

• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other accounting work for accuracy

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations

• Leverage technology and systems

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and HR, to ensure alignment on financial policies and goals.

• Demonstrated knowledge of various Accounting Functions is required

• Similar experience in a full scope accounting role is required

• Experience overseeing payroll is a plus
