Accounting Manager Job at Robert Half in Harrisonburg

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Manager. The chosen candidate will be joining a team where they will handle a variety of tasks related to the accounting functions of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the internal control processes within the organization

• Supervise and direct the financial reporting activities

• Reconcile and balance operating accounts and multiple bank accounts

• Manage Accounts Payable, Payroll, and the General Ledger

• Handle and oversee all aspects of the budget processes

• Ensure all accounting functions are performed accurately and within the set timelines.

• Must have 5+ years of experience and be degreed in Accounting, Finance or Business

• Proficient in all aspects of general ledger management, accounts payable, and payroll

• Experience with month end and year end close functions

• Proficient in managing budgets

• Knowledge and experience financial reporting and analysis

• Prior experience managing a small accounting department

• Understanding of Internal Control mechanisms and their implementation
