The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Partner with plant operations and accounting teams to develop systems, processes, and reporting to help drive continuous improvement in all areas of the facility.
- Provide ad-hoc review and analysis of revenue and expenses ensuring compliance and accuracy of our AR & AP systems.
- Maintain integrity of plant general ledger in regard to GAAP, including capitalization of fixed assets.
- Responsible for the monthly financial close and reporting cycle, including variance analysis.
- Serve as a "hands on" leader, gaining a detailed understanding of the operation to best provide support to the facility through impactful and relevant reporting and forecasts.
- Develop and mentor staff with a focus on growth and process engagement.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of performance metrics, forecasts, and costing systems.
- Desire and ability to learn the operational process; going beyond the strictly financial functions to understand from an operations perspective the root cause.
- Work closely with the accounting team on development and standardization of processes and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred. MBA preferred.
- At least 3years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Track record of progressive responsibility and leadership preferred. Experience in a manufacturing accounting setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with financial analysis and budgeting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration.
