SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting department. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Partner with plant operations and accounting teams to develop systems, processes, and reporting to help drive continuous improvement in all areas of the facility.
  • Provide ad-hoc review and analysis of revenue and expenses ensuring compliance and accuracy of our AR & AP systems.
  • Maintain integrity of plant general ledger in regard to GAAP, including capitalization of fixed assets.
  • Responsible for the monthly financial close and reporting cycle, including variance analysis.
  • Serve as a "hands on" leader, gaining a detailed understanding of the operation to best provide support to the facility through impactful and relevant reporting and forecasts.
  • Develop and mentor staff with a focus on growth and process engagement.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of performance metrics, forecasts, and costing systems.
  • Desire and ability to learn the operational process; going beyond the strictly financial functions to understand from an operations perspective the root cause.
  • Work closely with the accounting team on development and standardization of processes and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred. MBA preferred.
  • At least 3years of experience in accounting or finance roles. Track record of progressive responsibility and leadership preferred. Experience in a manufacturing accounting setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration.
