We are looking for an Office Assistant to organize and coordinate administration duties and office procedures. Your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety.

Office Assistant responsibilities include:


  • Answer phones and greet clients/customers
  • Serve as the point person for office including maintenance, mailing, supplies, equipment and errands
  • Verify that patients are accurately prepared for visits, including verifying insurance, and referrals
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Maintain a clean office layout, order stationery and equipment
  • Notify necessary repairs
  • Provide a positive office experience to clients and visitors
  • Address employee's queries regarding office issues (e.g. stationery, Hardware, etc.)
  • Make outbound calls to members offering program resources.


SKILLS


  • Experience with insurance verification
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Hands-on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
